Introvert Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett is an introvert.  These are his tips for investment.  I add commentary to show you the introvert advantage.

  •  Risk can be greatly reduced by concentrating on only a few holdings.  [concentration is one of the greatest gifts of the Introvert]

  • You are neither right nor wrong because the crowd disagrees with you. [res ipse loquitur]

  • You are right because your data and reasoning are right. [the ability to withstand social pressure of any kind is a natural strength of the Introvert]

  • As far as you are concerned, the stock market does not exist. Ignore it.  [only an Introvert could make a statement like that]

  • Much success can be attributed to inactivity. Most investors cannot resist the temptation to constantly buy and sell. [could that be because 75% of them

are Extroverts?]

  • It is more important to say “no” to an opportunity, than to say “yes”. [again, the ability of the Introvert to refrain from taking action]

  • It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to get extraordinary results.  [Introverts understand energy and the unseen forces; it is when and where you do very little that matters – this takes focus, concentration and long periods of inactivity while actively waiting for the right moment]

  • Wide diversification is only required when investors do not understand what they are doing. [focus and concentration are preferred, along with expertise, the natural domains of the introvert
