Second Saturn Returns for Countries, Too

Have you noticed how much Pakistan is in the news these days?  Of course it started back when things were hot in Afghanistan but today more than ever.  Pakistan, the country, is experiencing its second Saturn Return, the 60th year anniversary of its creation in independence from Great Britain.

A great book to read is Indian Summer.  The author Alex von Tunzelmann plays up Lord Mountbatten’s open marriage and an affair between Edwina Mountbatten and Nehru, seen here plainly captured by one another.  I consider this an almost begged for ending to the Empire, fulfilling fantasies on both sides.  But the book is readable and interesting as to the last months of the Empire (Raj) in India which then became Indian and Pakistan/Bangladesh.

Charlie Wilson’s War, a movie coming out this fall, will treat Pakistan from another interesting perspective.

I believe this is also preparatory to a greater negative involvement with Russia as Pluto moves into Capricorn early next year.  Russian, Afghanistan and Pakistan make a little “unit” as they buffer Russia from the rest of that part of the world.

Look for my comprehensive article coming soon on Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn, January 2008.  Basically the shadow of America moves from the Middle East and terrrorism to Russia, China — and a brutal stand off regarding resources.  Russia is foreshadowing with its recent renigging on business deals regarding oil.
