Roger Ebert gave “La Vie en Rose” ****.  This is the life story of Edith Piaf, Pari’s famous Little Sparrow.  She is as famous for her day as it is possible to be and her life is an excellent example of the challenges that can face one with Saturn in Cancer in the 8th house.

Edith Piaf 14 degrees – born December 19, 1915, Edit Piaf was Paris’ “little sparrow” and personally, one of my favorite singers. Being born and raised pretty much on the streets of Paris (allegedly she was born under a street lamp and abandoned by her mother), she eventually became the highest paid performer in the world. If you’d like to know why … pick up one of her DVDs. At her first Saturn Return, her father died and she met the man who remained her manager for the rest of her life, Louis Barrier. After the death of her great love in 1949, she turned to alcohol. She became hooked to morphine in 1951 after a car accident. In

1959 Piaf recorded Georges Moustaki’s “Milord”, her first English language hit. Her life was very tragic. She died in 1963.

Piaf interviewed shortly  before her death.
